Our personalized in-home obedience
lessons and behavior consultations are a great alternative
to obedience classes for dogs that might be over-stimulated by a
group class, as well as for busy owners with hectic, unpredictable
schedules. The instructor will teach your dog basic commands (e.g.,
walk nicely on the leash, sit, down, stay and come) and will cover
a wide range of canine behavior modification programs as needed,
to help with:
- Aggression
- Shyness, fear, phobias
- Separation anxiety
- Housetraining and other elimination issues
- Compulsive behaviors
- Guarding people, toys, food
- Jumping, chewing, nipping
The lessons are approximately one hour long. The price for one
lesson is $75. A package of four lessons is $275. Additional travel expenses may apply.
Blue Max Dog also offers a variety of group
classes, including:
- Puppy Kindergarten – for puppies up to four months old
- Good Manners – obedience for dogs over six months old
- Advanced Obedience and CGC preparation for dogs over six months
old
- Off-leash Obedience and Fun Agility
- Treats for tricks – fun games and tricks
The classes are held in Canton, Norwood, and Boston, MA. A group
package is six classes (each approximately one hour long) and the
price is $150. See information about upcoming group classes »
Just like a human learning to play the piano, or learning a foreign
language, it will take your dog a great deal of time and effort
to become well-behaved. By using gentle techniques and positive
reinforcement methods we will work to make this journey an enjoyable
experience for you and your dog.

"It has been over 3 years since we
first met Carol and each and every time our dogs see her they
get so excited. They love her. Carol uses love and patience
in her training and that is so important to us, to have found
someone who cares for our dogs as much as we do. It is evident
that Carol enjoys her work and her clients enjoy her classes.
We would recommend Carol to anyone who has a dog, she is as
vital to your pet’s well being as their veterinarian. Carol
is an excellent trainer."
